Mahatma Night

Writer's picture: Troop 99 Troop 99

Troop 99 had lots of fun on Friday as they pulled an all-nighter at St George's in Manchester. The scouts brought whatever activities they wanted to do including video game consoles, Nerf guns, basketball, junk food and soda, board games and card games. They enjoyed some late night pizza from Domino's.

Normally scouting events are very structured with rules about bedtime/lights out, limited cell phone use, no electronics or soda/energy drinks, but for one night only, Mahatma Night is a freestyle event. The scouts really love this event every year, and it's a great way to welcome our newest scouts as it's the first event we do after they bridge over from Pack 99.

Video Games

Nerf Wars!

Basketball

Pizza at 11:30pm

Games

Some kids stayed up all night, and some crashed by morning.

Thank you to Mr. Wood, Mr. Hunter, and Mr. Follansbee for sacrificing a night of sleep! Mahatma Night is a fun event that the kids will always remember.
